GEO checklist: the essential checks before launching your online store

Before you launch an online store, check whether AI engines can extract and cite its products. This GEO checklist covers product data, page structure and structured data — in the order you check them. It takes 10 minutes and prevents the most common reasons a product never gets recommended by AI.

Quick checklist (short answer)

  1. Every product has price, currency and stock in text, not only in images.
  2. Every product page emits valid Product + Offer JSON-LD, with an image.
  3. Specs live in an HTML table, with exact values.
  4. Key pages have a FAQ with real questions (shipping, returns, warranty).
  5. The return policy and delivery time are clear, extractable text.
  6. Every product has 2–3 internal links to its category and related products.

The structure checks

  • A unique H1 on every product page, identical to the product name.
  • Key sentences are short and can be copied individually into an AI answer.
  • The essential information is in text, not only in images or video.
  • The page has an honest cons or counter-arguments section.

How 4shopy helps

  • The store templates apply this checklist's structure automatically.
  • JSON-LD (Product, Offer, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList) is generated at publish time.
  • Spec, FAQ and verdict sections are ready-made blocks in the editor.
